9 Day – 8 Night Tour

This is a sample 9 day 8 night Ireland Tour. The tour below is a recommended itinerary we have created for you – We are happy to change and include attractions and sites that you may wish to see – We can also include pick up and drop of to all Irish airports. All attractions are suggested but not included in the price, also please be aware not all attraction may be visited in a standard 8 hour touring day.

Day 1 Welcome to Dublin, Ireland.

Your chauffeur driver/guide will be waiting to meet you in the arrivals hall of Dublin airport and to assist you with luggage and any other queries for your Ireland Tour.

On route to your accommodation your driver will give you a brief 90min orientation tour of Dublin. Providing some ideas of what to do in the city for the rest of the day and where to eat and relax in the evening, he will also arrange a suitable collection time for tomorrow’s tour. Overnight in your Dublin accommodation.

Day 2 An 8 hour private tour of Dublin city and environs.

Norman city walls – Guinness – Kilmainham and the history of 1916 – Phoenix park – Saint Patrick’s – Christ church Cathedral – Dublin castle – Trinity college – GPO – Saint Stephen’s green and much more – overnight in your Dublin accommodation.

Day 3 A full day tour of the Boyne Valley.

Visit the cradle of Ireland – Newgrange – Monasterboice – Mellifont – Drogheda town – Saint Oliver Plunketts embalmed head (only for the non-squeamish, this one!!)- Battle of the Boyne – Hills of Tara – Trim Castle – Optional Kells – Saint Patrick and the Hill of Slane – Slane Castle and much more – overnight in your Dublin accommodation.

Day 4 To Waterford & Kilkenny cities.

As we set off from Dublin our first overnight will be the undisputed heart and soul of Viking and Medieval Ireland, the cities of Waterford and Kilkenny. Waterford crystal – Reginald’s tower – Waterford Museum of Treasures – City road train – Rothe house – Kilkenny castle – The Smithwick’s brewery – Kytelers Inn and much more – overnight in your Kilkenny accommodation.

Day 5 Killarney via Cashel and Blarney.

Ancient Ireland comes alive on this beautiful drive visit the Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle to kiss the stone for the “gift of the gab” then onto Killarney via the national park and Muckross park and much more – overnight in your Killarney accommodation.

Day 6 Ring of Kerry Experience.

(Relaxed Start) travel the road better known as the Ring of Kerry and much more – overnight in your Killarney accommodation.

Day 7 The Shannon, The Cliffs of Moher and Galway.

Up through Listowel and across the Shannon Estuary at Tarbut – Visit the Cliffs of Moher and O’Briens tower. Stop in Doolin, view the Burren and the Ailwee bear caves. Arrive in Galway, ‘City of the Tribes’, short city tour including Galway Cathedral – Eyre Square – Spanish Parade – Claddagh on the shores of Galway Bay and much more – overnight in your Galway accommodation.

Day 8 The homeward stretch to Dublin.

A choice of activities today – A cruise on Lough Corrib (Galway) – Visit to Clonmacnoise the fabled monastic settlement of Saint Kieran (Athlone) or The National stud home of Irish horse champions (Kildare) arrive to Dublin city. Overnight in your Dublin accommodation.

Day 9 Departure day Dublin.

All good things must come to an end, so that others may begin. We hope you take memories home with you that will make your trip to Ireland a very special memory. Your driver will collect you from your accommodation at a suitable prearranged time and deliver you to the check-in desk, to avoid any final glitches and wave you off home.
